Clark Planetarium

Monkey has been begging me to take him on a train for days, so I finally gave in. UTA technically requires shoes, which another passenger was quick to point out to me, but I didn’t have any issues with employees.

We got off the train in downtown Salt Lake and went to the Joseph Smith Building to eat at the Nauvoo Cafe. Monkey loved the chandeliers. He said it was like the Beauty and the Beat castle.

After lunch and a bit of shopping at City Creek, we went to Clark Planetarium. The main planetarium is free, and they have a ton of cool learning exhibits for kids.

Coming to you live from the surface of Pluto, where it’s snowing like crazy!

Men are from Mars, women are from Venus.

Monkey loved this play structure! He didn’t want to get out. I had to bribe him with jelly beans when it was time to go.

Any day that ends with a sleeping kid is a great day in my book!

We got KFC for dinner because Monkey has been bugging me to buy him a bucket of chicken and mashed potatoes ever since we read Dear Me Henshaw a few weeks ago. Still working on my selfie game. I’m staying with my Biffle for the next week, and she’s a photographer, so maybe my photo quality will go up for a few days. I have a few days of heavy travel coming up to make it to Orlando on Monday. Make sure you’re following my Instagram to get all my barefoot road trip updates! @sierrathebarefootgirl
