Weather scarf

Happy Pinspiration Thursday! This is the Pinterest craft I have been working on while watching the Flames blow it in the playoffs to keep from losing my mind. And let’s not even talk about the Oilers 7-0 loss to San Jose.

Anyway. The idea behind this scarf is to knit one row a day based on the colour of the sky until you have a whole scarf. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I went to the Agriculture Alberta website and pulled the weather data for the last year from the nearest observation point and I’m going off of temperature. White is -10 or colder, teal is 0 to -9.99, royal blue is 0.01 to 9.99, and purple is 10 and above. I’m at November now. That huge white chunk was basically all of freezing cold December, which if you remember, I was barefoot for most of.

Anyway, Calgary got eliminated last night and my mom and brother are convinced there’s some kind of conspiracy or pay offs happening somewhere to keep them from winning. My theory is they get stuck with playing a dirty team every time they make it to the playoffs because pretty much all the American teams play dirty. And don’t even get me started on Kesler. Dirtiest player in the league.

Either way, conspiracy or bad ref calls or crappy playing, Flames are out of the running for the cup. At least there won’t be horrific traffic next weekend when I go to Calgary Comic Expo.
